Meldina & Kurtis's Backyard Wedding

Meldina and Kurtis's Wedding Was a dreamy love story.

The two of them living in the Fraser Valley had their first date and several fond memories under a willow tree in Meldina's backyard. From getting married in the same backyard as their first date the two of them had a place filled with their friends and family. Both sides of the wedding party were so fun to work with as they centred the day around things that they love ( singing and dancing and lots of champagne popping!!!). Part way through the wedding Meldina and Kurtis focused on being present with each other. In doing so they had a beautiful picnic where Kurtis then serenaded Meldina with his guitar. Providing lots of time for the two of them to relax and have some intimate photos together before attending back to the guest was a perfect transition into their 12hour wedding day. Arriving back at the wedding party, the two of them spent time playing lawn games, dancing and listening to speeches. Later in the evening, we took a few minutes before their first dance to capture some warm golden hour photos. Wrapping off the night with more dancing they had all their guests light sparklers to celebrate their love and next endeavour together. Needless to say, their day was filled with several heartfelt moments and it was such a Joy to document their story.
